Video Editor
CodXpert is seeking a high-velocity Video Editor with at least 1 year of experience to craft engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube long-form videos, and podcast episodes.
Role Overview & The Mission
CodXpert is expanding our media and digital content studio. We are searching for an agile, creative Video Editor with proven proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and modern storytelling pacing. In this role, you will edit retention-focused short-form videos for social channels as well as in-depth long-form educational, documentary-style, and podcast productions.
• Core Video Production Formats Handled
High retention hooks, dynamic auto-captions, trending pacing, and tight cuts.
Story structure, educational pacing, motion graphics, and contextual B-roll.
Multi-cam switching, audio cleanliness, chaptering, and key highlight callouts.
Primary Software & Tool Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Edit fast-paced, high-retention Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts (30–45 seconds) featuring dynamic captions, sound design, jump cuts, and motion graphics.
- Cut, pace, and assemble long-form YouTube videos (5–10 minutes) with B-roll selection, narrative flow, color correction, and polished audio balancing.
- Edit multi-camera podcast episodes (15–30 minutes), removing filler pauses, synchronizing multi-track audio, and extracting viral short clips.
- Apply engaging on-screen typography, animated text overlays, b-roll footage, sound effects (SFX), and background music.
- Maintain consistent brand aesthetics, visual continuity, and color grading across all client and internal content channels.
- Coordinate with content directors to iterate rapidly on feedback and maintain a reliable delivery cadence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of practical video editing experience with a verifiable portfolio or portfolio link.
- Strong understanding of modern social video mechanics (hook pacing, pattern interrupts, sound design, dynamic captions).
- Proficiency in audio cleanup, level matching, noise reduction, and sound mixing.
- Ability to adhere reliably to the scheduled shift (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST) with self-starter autonomy.
- Delhi NCR location preferred for team alignment and occasional studio syncs.
Preferred Skills & Bonus Qualifications
- + Basic motion graphic animation in Adobe After Effects.
- + Thumbnail conceptualization or eye-catching frame capture awareness.
- + Experience repurposing single long-form episodes into multiple high-converting vertical micro-assets.

- ✓ A modern desktop or laptop setup with dedicated GPU and sufficient RAM (16GB+ recommended) capable of handling multi-track video editing and 1080p/4K rendering smoothly.
- ✓ A high-speed, stable internet connection suitable for uploading and downloading multi-gigabyte raw video footage.
- ✓ Dedicated headphones/audio monitors for accurate sound mixing and dialog auditing.
